A Tree Falls

A tree falls…
Does it make a sound?
Or do all of its leaves…
Just disappear on the ground?
And when it falls,
Because fall it will…
Then why wasn’t the tree…
Standing still?
Was it because…
It felt weak?
Or maybe because…
It wasn’t unique?
Or could it be that
Poison just seeped?
And nobody heard
This lonely tree weep?
Since it’s lonely,
There is no one around…
Silently it will fall,
On to the ground
Leaving no mark and no stains…
No one to visit its rotting remains…
But little flowers grow…
Where it once fell
To remind you of all the
Secrets it can’t tell
It fell cuz people weren’t true…
But in the end… Just know
It forgives you.

Faceless Man

A faceless man, on a darkened horse
Chants my name, with whispered force.
Throws pebbles at my window and looks up to see
An innocent face look down on thee
I climb down the stairs and open the door
Tip toe over the creeks on the floor
A sudden voice says “don’t you go!”
The voice in my head I rejected so
A mystery man, with a covering cape
Hides his face but reveals his shape
A beautiful body and haunting voice
Commands me to follow, I have no choice!
He gallops slowly on his steed
I walk to him barefoot and follow his lead
My bright garden falls under his shade
As he sings lullabies of a planned fair trade
Entices my body as I finally give in
To a faceless man I have yet seen grin
And then after he climbs on his horse
Laughs and speaks with no remorse
His beautiful voice all sick and deranged
And all of the sudden I feel estranged
I walk up to him slowly, pull of his hood
If I can change time, trust me I would
A startle falls upon my face
I feel such shame and such disgrace
I fall to the floor and to my surprise
I made love… to a devil in disguise.

In The End

And In the end I walk away,
With shame and nothing else to say
A lonely bird in a misty sky,
Broken wings that attempt to fly
Over a sea of thunderous clouds,
Masking scars in layered shrouds
Engulfing waves of lies and pain,
Salt upon a bleeding vein
Vultures that skulk and wait,
For me to meet my dying fate
As lighting strikes from above,
I give up my immortal love-
Fall through the sky and hit the ground,
My nonexistence makes no sound
A broken body turns to see,
A ray of light preach to me
And in the dirt think and lay,
That one day I will be okay.
